January 15th 2008: Blender 3D and YafRay support

As of now REBUSfarm supports Blender Foundation's Blender 3D and the rendering software YafRay. The open source software enjoys great popularity and will be kept up to date on our farm.



About the Blender Foundation

Founded in 2002 by Ton Roosendaal, the Blender Foundation aims at establishing funding mechanisms that serve further development of Blender 3D. Blender 3D is provided for free as Open Source software under the GNU General Public License.


About YafRay

YafRay (Yet another free Raytracer) is an Open Source raytracer for creating photorealistic images and animations. It is released under the GNU LGPL. The core developers team of YafRay consists of Alejandro Conty Estevez, Alfredo de Greef and Luciano Campal Vazquez.


About REBUSfarm

REBUSfarm is a spin-off to REBUSmedia (see www.rebus-media.de). The company has been founded in Cologne in 2006, by André Konnopasch and Ralph Huchtemann, and leads the market in Europe. REBUSfarm aims at fulfilling the growing need of rendering power in the field of 3D-animation. REBUSfarm supports a wide range of 3D applications. This includes so-called host-applications, as well as secondary rendering applications.
